AC Shadows Unveils Unexpected Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A strange confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden cult.
The questline focuses on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The preview features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana in addition to several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-based costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive arms
- Survey Corps vehicle
Newest Free Story Update
This update also introduces the game's third complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
